Our History

A Call from God

Apostle Dr. Faith A. Walters received a call from the Lord to begin a ministry dedicated to empowering individuals to improve their lives. This vision was especially for those who have experienced abuse, struggled with low self-esteem or insecurity, and doubted their ability to succeed. The ministry encourages each person to walk boldly in faith, trusting God to bring great things into their lives.

Our Beginnings

The ministry was founded on the foundation of prayer on Tuesday, June 27, 2006, in the home of Sis. Palmer-Thompson at 12 Bushnell Place, Mount Vernon, NY. Early gatherings included Sis. L. King, Apostle Faith’s family, friends, and their families. Services later moved to the basement of Apostle Faith’s home, with meetings held on:

  • Tuesdays: 7:00–9:00 pm

  • Sundays: 9:00 am–12:00 noon

  •

In January 2016, God opened a new chapter by providing a worship space free of charge at 53 Mount Vernon Avenue, Mount Vernon, NY. Services were held on Wednesdays from 1:00 to 3:00 pm.

When the pandemic came, the Lord led us to a virtual platform, enabling us to continue services online. We now meet on Wednesdays at 1:00 pm and alternate Sundays at 5:00 pm, connecting globally with people around the world.

A Church Without Walls

We are a church without walls, embracing the invitation: “Come as you are.” — 1 Samuel 16:7

“The LORD does not look at the things people look at. People look at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart.”

Our worship begins with prayer, praise, testimonies, and the Word of God. We create a space where all can freely express themselves and receive guidance through Scripture.

Ministries & Outreach

Over the years, WAMOE has touched countless lives through:

  • Healing and deliverance services

  • Prayer breakfasts and banquets

  • Street evangelism and visitations (home and hospital)

  • Overseas support

  • Counseling (children, singles, married couples, bereavement, self-esteem)

  • Community events: block parties, barbecues, clothing drives, Bible distribution, food programs, school supplies, and more

These efforts have brought renewal, transformation, and hope in Christ Jesus.

Our Endurance

Though tested continuously, the ministry endures in faith, giving all glory to God. As Ecclesiastes 9:11 reminds us:

“The race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong… but time and chance happeneth to them all.”

God continues to open doors. By faith, we already have the victory — and we boldly command our atmosphere into being.

Why The Rose

The ROSE represents love and it was chosen because of my very close relationship with God.

RED color represents The Blood of Jesus Christ which was shed for all of mankind for the redemption of sins.

R = the RIGHTEOUSNESS of God

O = God’s OMNI-PRESENCE that is continuously with us.

S = His SALVATION through His Son Jesus Christ.

E = His EVERLASTING LOVE that is given to many
