WAMOE History Timeline

2006 — Foundation of Prayer

  • June 27: First prayer meeting held in Mount Vernon, NY, in the home of Sis. Palmer-Thompson.

  • Initial gatherings included Apostle Dr. Faith A. Walters, her family, and close friends.

  • Early services were hosted in Apostle Faith’s basement.

 

2006–2015 — Community Roots

  • Weekly services established: Tuesdays (7–9 p.m.) and Sundays (9 a.m.–12 noon).

  • Ministry expanded to include prayer breakfasts, banquets, counseling, home/hospital visits, and street evangelism.

  • First community events: clothing drives, Bible and food distributions, school supply giveaways, block parties, and barbecues.

 

2016 — New Phase of Growth

  • January: God provided a worship space free of charge at 53 Mount Vernon Avenue, Mount Vernon, NY.

  • Services shifted to Wednesdays (1–3 p.m.).

  • Ministry outreach broadened, including overseas support and more structured counseling programs.

 

2020 — Pivot to Digital Ministry

  • Pandemic prompted transition to virtual services via website, Facebook, and YouTube.

  • Services streamed Wednesdays (1 p.m.) and alternate Sundays (5 p.m.).

  • Launch of updated website wa-moe.org to expand global reach.

 

2021–Present — Media Expansion

  • Excellence Radio Network launched on Podbean and syndicated across Spotify, iHeartRadio, Amazon Music, BoomPlay, PlayerFM, and more.

  • Weekly Live Prayer Line established as a broadcast series (120+ episodes published).

  • Partnership with CaribVision TV (CMC) enabled WAMOE broadcasts to reach 1.7M+ households across the Caribbean and diaspora.

  • Official mailing address: P.O. Box 2077, Mount Vernon, NY 10551.

 

Today

  • A recognized “church without walls” committed to empowering minds for success in the Kingdom of God.

  • Continues to serve through live services, global broadcasts, counseling, community relief, vocational training, and international partnerships.
