This week, The Excel Project Spotlight proudly recognizes the Westchester County Board of Legislators, an institution that has served residents for more than 300 years, helping shape one of New York's most diverse and dynamic counties.

As the legislative and policy-making body of Westchester County, the Board of Legislators plays a role comparable to that of the United States Congress at the federal level. Its work touches nearly every aspect of daily life—from public safety and transportation to economic development, environmental stewardship, health services, education, infrastructure, and fiscal responsibility.
