Partnering for Healthier Communities
Back-to-School Impact in Mount Vernon
WAMOE was proud to be out in the community on August 19, 2026, during the Back-to-School Backpack Giveaway at Neighborhood Health Center, where the WAMOE Pop-Up Experience was in full effect.
The day was filled with connection, encouragement, community resources, and opportunities to support families preparing for the new school year. WAMOE was especially delighted to celebrate Heather, the winner of our free raffle gift basket giveaway—a small gesture of appreciation that brought even more joy to an already meaningful day.
Apostle Dr. Faith Walters also had the opportunity to connect with community leaders, including Mount Vernon Councilwoman Cynthia Turnquest-Jones, and to share a special moment with Ms. Judith Watson, CEO of Westchester Health Center, while supporting the back-to-school initiative.
These moments reflect what WAMOE community engagement is all about: showing up, building relationships, supporting families, and creating meaningful connections beyond the walls.
As we move into a new season, WAMOE remains committed to being present wherever faith, service, education, and community empowerment meet.

Jesus as the Model for Ministry Leadership
The cover story, Jesus: The Fivefold Ministry – The Perfect Model for Every Ministry Calling, invites readers to reflect on how Christ exemplified servant leadership. Jesus equipped His followers with spiritual gifts to build up the Church and advance God’s Kingdom. This model encourages believers to embrace their unique callings with humility and dedication.
The fivefold ministry includes apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers. Each role plays a vital part in nurturing faith and guiding the community. By following Christ’s example, ministries can foster unity, growth, and effective outreach.
The Excellence Chronicles: Media as a Tool for Faith and Service
WAMOE Media Network uses various platforms to share biblical teaching, outreach efforts, and family empowerment resources. The network’s digital ministry continues to grow, reaching thousands through YouTube, podcasts, and social media.
Key statistics from the network’s impact include:
4,600 YouTube subscribers with over 111,700 total views
185 videos published on the Sister Georgie channel, with nearly 5,000 subscribers
825 followers on Instagram and 487 on Facebook
50 podcast episodes with 577 downloads
These numbers reflect a community eager to engage with content that encourages spiritual growth and practical living.

“Why do I still feel hurt after I’ve forgiven?”
Forgiveness can be an important part of healing, but it does not always mean the emotional pain disappears immediately. You may have made the decision to forgive while still needing time to process disappointment, rebuild trust, establish boundaries, or understand how the experience affected you.
Healing is often a journey rather than a single moment. Give yourself permission to acknowledge what happened without allowing it to define where you are going.
Reborn Reflection: Sometimes becoming “reborn” means learning how to carry the lesson without continuing to carry the wound.
